Printing instructions

THANK YOU FOR DOWNLOADING THE MAP OF GEOPOLITICAL DIMENSIONS OF THE INTERNET!

PRINTING INSTRUCTIONS:

This file is originally intended to be printed in 160cm x 120cm dimensions, on fabric. It's not impossible to print it in smaller sizes, but the smaller you print it, the harder it gets to read the text and more details are lost. Another important hint is to keep the map's original proportions – they're different from most used paper dimensions (A4, A3, A2...)!

ABOUT THE MAP:

The idea behind developing a technological cartography that illustrates the physical and geopolitical dimensions of the internet is to materialize the cloud and expose the power relations behind it, from the physical infrastructure to algorithmic decision-making layers. The map was envisioned as a tool to kick-start conversations around digital colonization and the impact of technologies on the climate and socio-environmental justice debates. But, please, bear in mind that drawing cartographies is a living experience. Maps change, as territories change. And not all Internet territories have been already mapped in this exercise. Gradually we will update the file with new information and perspectives. It is worth re-visiting the website or keeping an eye on the Coding Rights networks.
